After using photoshop for quite sometime now, I still find it really hard to use. I enjoy seeing the transitions being made but find it very hard to work with. I hope to keep improving on Photoshop CS4 as the semester continues on.

After creating the postcard for our last assignment. I really want to plan a vacation now and preferably to the beach! I would love to go to the beach above which is Turks and Caicos. The water is so clear and the island is so quaint and neat. How could you look at the picture and not want to travel to Turks and Caicos?

I really liked this photo found off of http://amiedelisa.com/, a fashion website. This picture is able to relate a concept we have learned about, centering. The image is trying to draw your attention to the center of the ball where the Chanel logo is.

Assignment 2

This image is a good example of line. When looking at this picture the viewers eyes go from the back of the line and work their way up to the front. When the viewer gets to the front, the main focus becomes the model in the front with the bright red dress. This image is saved in JPEG, which is a good format to save pictures in.

This is a great image that represents simplicity. There is nothing in this picture that does not help in making the picture seem so wonderful. This image makes the viewer want to be there and makes it seem so surreal. The viewers eyes are first directed to the calm, crisp, blue water and the surroundings and then drift out to the boats. This image is saved in JPEG, which is a good format to save pictures in.

This image shows centering. The model is directly in the center and the viewers attention goes straight to her. With the background color being white, her dress color allows for her to stand out significantly. This photo is in JPEG format, which is a good format to save pictures in.

I find this to be a good example of flowing rhythm. The hills start out at a flat surface and as they continue they steepen. The steepness flows very well and gives the hills movement.

Graphic Design Assignment 1/11/2010

I think this is a good example of dominance. When first looking at the picture my eyes went directly to the trees because of the dark shading surrounding them. After this my eyes were then directed to the orange house which isn't so dominating.
